Mid-November, 1999, I took a short break to visit Colin in Hong Kong ("Fragrant Harbour" in Chinese). I seemed to take the 15 hour time difference in my stride and managed to cram lots of great and diverse sights into the trip: from visiting the islands of Macau and Lantau, to the markets of Stanley on the south of the island, riding the tram up The Peak, bobbing on the ferry over to Kowloon, hiking up Mt Baker, and of course exploring the city itself.
